Francesco Randazzo
Italian writer and director. Degree in Directing, at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts "Silvio D’Amico" in Rome, in 1991. He is active in Italy and abroad as a director and author for important theaters and festivals, including: Todi Festival, Teatro Stabile di Catania, Ortigia Festival, Narodno Kazaliste "I Zaic" in Rijeka, Dubrovnik Festival, Teatro Nacional Juvenil de Venezuela, IT&D Theater in Zagreb, Playwright Festival of New York, Festival des Films du Monde in Montreal. He founder of the Compagnia degli Ostinati - Officina Teatro, of which he was artistic director. He has published with various publishers, plays, poems, short stories and two novels; has obtained numerous awards, as a finalist or winner, in national and international dramaturgy and literature prizes, including: Fondi La Pastora Prize, Candoni Prize, Fersen Prize, Author Schegge Prize, Sonar Script Prize, Leonforte Prize, Prize Maestrale San Marco, Carver Prize, Alessandro Tassoni Prize, Moak Prize, Ugo Betti Prize, Di Liegro Foundation Prize, Antonio Caldarella Prize. His theatrical texts have been translated into Spanish, Slovenian, Czech, French and English and performed in Canada, USA, Croatia, Slovenia, Spain, Belgium, France, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina. At the same time he carried out teaching activities with courses in acting, directing, dramaturgy and creative writing, history of the show, stages and conferences for various public and private institutions, including: Ancient Theater School of the National Institute of Ancient Drama, Cinars Montreal, TNJV Caracas, Italian Theater Education-Theater Center, Uilt Study Center, New York University, Ostinati Open Studio, International Acting School Rome, Parioli Theater Academy, DuocUc Santiago del Chile, Université Le Mirail, Toulouse, Civic School "Paolo Grassi" from Milan. He created and manages the blog “Mirkal. Of Arts and Letters ”and“ Ozarzand ”(this is not a diary). For the webzine Maredolce.com he curates the column “The letters of Woland”.
